This last Spring, my friend Ryan and I were out trying to harvest a turkey for this coming Thanksgiving...the one that is upon us now. We had never turkey hunted before but it did not take long before we realized we were addicted to Turkeys! The sound of the gobble, the scratch of the flint, the camo from head to toe....these all are apart of the great turkey hunting tradition. We did not harvest one of these marvelous birds but we learned alot about turkeys and alot about ourselves. I personally learned that I need to have more patience in my life...which could translate into my married life and enhance my marriage. I also learned that sometimes you don't always get what you want. I wanted to get a turkey so bad I could practically taste it's drumsticks but it was not to be. Just as in life when I get selfish about things and only think about what I want. This also carries over into my marriage and this is why I belive turkeys hold a special place in my heart....they simply make me a better person. So this turkey season, I offer this one piece of advice...thank your turkey for reasons other than providing you sustenance and good health, thank the turkey for teaching you those invaluable life lessons.
Happy Turkey Day!

Aaron, I like the blog. The only other blogs I seem to be able to look at are Molly's and her friends blogs. I really enjoy the stache, I believe it is making a comeback, although Molly doesn't think so.
