Turkey Facts....and Tracks!

This last Spring, my friend Ryan and I were out trying to harvest a turkey for this coming Thanksgiving...the one that is upon us now. We had never turkey hunted before but it did not take long before we realized we were addicted to Turkeys! The sound of the gobble, the scratch of the flint, the camo from head to toe....these all are apart of the great turkey hunting tradition. We did not harvest one of these marvelous birds but we learned alot about turkeys and alot about ourselves. I personally learned that I need to have more patience in my life...which could translate into my married life and enhance my marriage. I also learned that sometimes you don't always get what you want. I wanted to get a turkey so bad I could practically taste it's drumsticks but it was not to be. Just as in life when I get selfish about things and only think about what I want. This also carries over into my marriage and this is why I belive turkeys hold a special place in my heart....they simply make me a better person. So this turkey season, I offer this one piece of advice...thank your turkey for reasons other than providing you sustenance and good health, thank the turkey for teaching you those invaluable life lessons.
Happy Turkey Day!

Thanksgiving preperation....we gotta lot of work!

Just got our wedding gifts and can you believe
they all fit in my little Mazda Protege! Now the fun part starts...organizing and making room so everything fits in our 690 sq. ft. apartment!

ok...something's gotta give!

When your a Wildcat and your wife's a duck, somethings gotta give. I realize that there are many couples amidst Pac-10 nation that are similarly divided. That's why I am designing some shirts to send to Nike with different teams for couples. I think it will be a big hit!

Trying to keep the wife happy while she works long hours!

Humble beginnings to this marriage can't stop a creative and romantic meal from taking place at the Henegar apartment. Tasha loves my omelettes! I'm glad I can help cause she makes way more money than I do!

new rap for my wife

This is a working progress:

We're goin to the game,
you know who it is,
she's been following this team ever since she was a kid,
not a kid but she was grown,
ever since she could throw...ever since she could throw,

She had to learn how to throw cause her knee went bad,
and soon she became the best 'spear chucker' in the land,
it took her to the top, to the top of state,
that's when two schools came looking for a prospect date,

The gophers and the ducks,
The gophers and the ducks, (building in intensity)
The gophers and the ducks, (building even more)
She chose the ducks! (almost shouting)

Because they got the best wet burritos in the land,
and she'd only be nine hours from her moms and dad,
that's where she met Tish, who's boyfriend was a Beaver,
that kinda love shoulda been a misdemeaner,

but my wife and me,
we seem to disagree,
on everything includin' rootin' for our favorite teams,

so I'm sitting hear with a bunch of duck fans in my ear,
and I hear a quack, quack,
everytime they get a sack, sack,
on the quarterback, back,

to be continued....

New addition to Washington Grizzly Stadium

The new addition has added approximately2,500 seats for grizzly fans to settle into and even make our home field dominance even that much more intimidating. Nestled in against Mount Sentinel, this venue has become one of the most difficult places to play in the country...as well as being considered among the 'last best places' to play in terms of aesthetic appeal. Last months sports illustrated ranked Washington Grizzly stadium just ahead of Autzen stadium in terms of fan noise intensity and most intimidated venues for visiting teams.

GO GRIZ!

Bringin' it back and making it real...

My new brother (by marriage) and confidant, as well as Boston Celtics gear resource, Tanner Lind, shows off his fresh stache' prior to kick off on Griz day. Shortly after this picture was taken, several girls mobbed him and I had to pull them off. Nice Tan man! Makes me want to grow mine back...
